I was so excited when Martha and Norman Hande gave me a call and told me their entire family was going to be home for the 4th of July wk end, and that they wanted a family portrait done! Martha and Norman live not too far from us and have a farm with lots of fun pets, from goats, to chickens to horses and more. My husband, Dave, does their chores for them when they're out of town and has been doing this for years. The Hande's are some of the friendliest, nicest people you'll ever meet, so I was more then happy to do some portraits for them! Also another big reason they wanted a portrait done was to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary! How amazing! I really admire anyone who is married for that long, they're a great example to all married couples! Also the fact that we took the images on the family farm that has been in the family for generations, is just awesome! The sepia tone image of the family lined up in front of the house is a recreation of a photo that was taken there in front of the same house around 1890, and the table on the left side was included in the image because it's the same table that was in the picture from the old time photo. How cool is that family history!? The day of the shoot was perfect, we had great weather and everyone did awesome during the shoot! Enjoy these sneak peaks, and remember the images aren't edited yet!
